Dirtying down...

How to break down an artist/models make-up. Dirt, stained teeth and dirty hair...

Creating dirty Hair-
  • Brylcreem can be used to create a greasy, unwashed look. Rub right into the scalp of the head for full effect.
  • Coloured hair sprays are also useful such as grey and brown to create a more out Standish dirt look.
  • Hair gel, dry shampoo and even water spray can also be used to create dirty hair.

This was the finished look after Sue's demonstration.

Tooth enamel (Kryolan)-
  • Apply the product with a cotton bud onto the tooth. Remove with methylated spirit. The enamel is available in different colours for different effect e.g Black, Nicotine, Silver, Gold.

Remover.
Remember to always include moisturiser when blending the supra colours on the face. Use fingers/sponges to drag the colour down the face, this helps create a more effective shape/lines. Include the coloured sprays on the face but always remember to consider the models hands, nails, arms, neck, costume. So that the overall look itself is continued throughout.
