Smooth and shiny hair...

Smooth and shiny hair...
The femme fatales in most films are normally recognised from there well known representation. They're normally styled wearing dark revealing or tight clothing to emphasise or promote there highly noticed sex appeal along side a sleek, shiny hairstyle that's considered quite masculine to represent there hard, fearless exterior. A red lip and dark eye are also associated with this archetype.

Seema's demonstration on how to create the sleek and shiny pony tail. She used a bungi bobble rather than a normal to avoid creating bumps in the hair. A bungi bobble is created by attaching two grips to either side of an elastic bobble the wrapping the bobble around the pony tail and securing with the grips rather than literally using the hair band.

This is my attempt of creating a similar style but typing the pony tail a little lower down at the back of the head. I tied the hair using the hair band rather than the bungi method, its defiantly more difficult to achieve a clean finish without using that particular method.

Creating a sleek, wet styled look with hair down with no parting and a middle parting...
These particular hairstyles definitely inspired me when it came to considering how to style Claudia's hair. The hair style is definitely very important for this type of character, the 'femme fatale.' It illustrates the character.

This style was just something I attempted when we had a little bit of time left at the end of the seminar.
